The Challenge: One Product, Several Compliance Regimes
A single connected medical device can owe an IEC 60601-1-2 EMC report, a 60601-1 safety evaluation, a radio certification for every market it ships to, an FDA Section 524B cybersecurity submission, and a transit study before the first unit leaves the dock. Each of those usually means a different lab, a different quote, and a different schedule. Samples travel, revisions get lost between vendors, and the launch date moves.
